Introduction to The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People®

Section Meeting: April 16th, 2013

Our presentation will provide an informative introduction to the principles and language of the The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People and their impact. The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey was first published in 1989 and there have been more than 25 million copies sold in 38 languages, and continues to remain one of the best selling nonfiction business books to this day.

In the Seven Habits, Covey presents a presents an approach to being effective in attaining goals by aligning oneself to what he calls “true north” principles that he presents as universal and timeless in his various works. He does not claim to have invented the principles but rather to have rediscovered them and created a simple language for articulating them. Textile/Garment Quality Inspectors

Description: We are currently looking for quality professionals that are flexible enough and interested in assisting with on-site quality inspections of various garments and textile items.  Inspections include quantity verification, sampling and evaluation per product specifications, measurement verification, etc.  A report is typed and emailed to us within 24 hours and includes digital photos of the product, packaging and defects noted.  Sampling used is ANSI Z1.4.  Training is provided, but industry experience is required. Basic Statistics Refresher Class – March 15th, 2013

This course will be of interest to all Quality professionals. The material covers the use and application of Basic statistical tools and techniques. The course will introduce basic data collection and sampling methods, control charts, graphical methods, and practical application areas in statistical quality control.

Root Cause Analysis Workshop – April 18th

Learn to significantly reduce the recurrence of quality, safety or environmental problems. Upon completion of this workshop, one will be able to understand selected root cause analysis and corrective action terminology; understand and perform or facilitate root cause analysis using a variety of techniques – e.g., Change Analysis, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Hazard-Barrier-Effects Analysis, Time-line Analysis, Cause and Effects Analysis.

This position is located at Ansaldo Honolulu JV’s downtown Honolulu (Bishop Street) office.

  • Perform QA tasks on the Ansaldo Honolulu JV Core Systems Contract per Client’s specifications.

Includes assisting the Project Quality Manager in maintaining the Client -approved Quality Assurance Plan up-to-date, attending design reviews, reviewing design documents, test plans and procedures, conducting formal audits, inspections, and QA approvals of  all project deliverables, and responding to Client’s quality concerns in a timely manner.
