Quality Manager/Chief Inspector – Sikorsky Global Helicopters

Hill Associates LLC has been engaged by Sikorsky Global Helicopters to help them recruit a candidate for the position Quality Manager/Chief Inspector for its Coatesville, Pennsylvania facility.  This excellent opportunity reports to the VP Quality at Coatesville and is responsible for a Quality function of 90 inspectors and supervisors.  This bonus eligible position comes with a competitive compensation package including relocation.

The candidate will be responsible for all maintenance, repairs and alterations of rotorcraft for Sikorsky Commercial Inc. Repair Station, compliant to CFR Part 145, EASA, and all other applicable CFR’s. The role includes but is not limited to ensuring all administrative functions are complete and accurate for management of the Repair Station, Quality Procedures and Training manuals. In addition, this position will have a direct interface with the Federal Aviation Administration Flight Standards District Office (FSDO).

Experience/Qualifications:
Preferred Experience:
• Lean Manufacturing and / or Six Sigma Certification / ACE (Continuous Improvement)
• Experience with Solumina and / or SAP
• CFR Part 21 Production Systems
• AS9100
• Training
• Human Factors

Required Experience:
• Experience managing personnel in a live aircraft environment
• Root cause, and corrective / preventative action process
• Internal audit systems and processes
• Trained in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing
• Scrap Rework and Repair (SRR), and Cost of Poor Business Quality (COPQ) initiatives to continually improve performance
• Forecasting, manpower scheduling and budget management
• Computer literate: Microsoft Suite (i.e. Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Project & Outlook)
• Leadership – team mentoring, coaching and development
• Team player
• Excellent communications with every level within an organization
• Organizational & planning skills
• Results oriented

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace/aviation, technical discipline or equivalent experience
• Airframe and Power plant license
• Aircraft quality system including: CFR 145, (10 years)
• Positive working relationship with the FAA (5 years)
