After going to college to pursue software engineering, Alex discovered an interest in design and user experience. This summer, he is interning at GoDaddy, working on improving and standardizing the company’s UX across all products.
In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar, exercising, and watching shows.
Alex is interested in constantly improving user experience in every aspect of life, and consistent quality is one of the most important aspects of it.
He plans on using the scholarship to continue pursuing his education.
41 volunteers and their families participated in this 2nd Annual event (up from 25 volunteers last year…SWEET). The event was co-sponsored by the ASQ NY/NJ Metro Section and The Spanish Tavern (our Section’s home away from home) located on McWhorter Street in the Ironbound Section of Newark. They were also joined by enthusiastic volunteers from Virgin America located in Newark Airport and students from NJIT (Yes…students up at 9 am on a Saturday to give back to their community!).
They all worked together to help beautify a park with and for people that we truly care about. All of our the volunteers worked tirelessly to help make Independence Park the most beautiful Park in all of Essex County. The entire day was a true “Labor of Love”. We all agreed that there WILL BE a 3rd Annual Independence Park Beautification Event next year held on the weekend that coincides with Earth Day.
