Deriving Benefit from ISO 9001:2015 Workshop for QMS users – September 24th, 2015

Trainer: James August, CMQ/OE, CQA. Quality Assurance Manager, CCL Industries Inc. James August is a quality professional with thirty years experience in commercial, industrial and military/aerospace manufacturing. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from SUNY Stony Brook, a Masters in Materials Science from the same university and he completed postgraduate studies at the Colorado School of Mines. Currently, he is the Quality Assurance Manager for CCL Label Inc. in Robbinsville, NJ, where he is working on integrating ISO 9001, GMPs and Lean Manufacturing into a single business management system.

Jim is a Senior Member of ASQ and is Certified both as Manager of Quality/ Organizational Excellence and as a Quality Auditor. Mr. August was active in Quality New Jersey from 1991 through 2007 and served as the Administrator for the QNJ Performance Excellence Network. He was a member of the QNJ Governor’s Award for Performance Excellence Board of Examiners (Baldrige criteria) for eleven years, holding the responsibilities of Examiner, Senior Examiner and examiner process trainer. Mr August also teaches quality management and related courses for ASQ and has also taught courses at Rutgers, Raritan Valley Community College and Middlesex County College. Jim is a member of ASCD and was a registered Professional Development Provider for the Dept of Education in New Jersey. He participated as a member of the Manufacturing Committee for the Career and Technical Education Partnership of New Jersey for three years. Jim is a frequent presenter at regional university and ASQ activities.
