Office Quality Manager

Champion the achievement of Quality Work on all projects within the Office, resulting in greater profitability and higher levels of client satisfaction through implementation of the HNTB Quality Management System (QMS) and Quality Management Standards of Performance (SOP). Responsible for working with the Corporate Quality Officer (CQO) on continual improvement to the QMS, and the achievement of corporate quality initiatives.  Responsible for developing, analyzing and reporting on quality performance within the Office to the Office Management Team (OMT), Division Quality Manager (DQM) and the CQO.  Supporting Project Quality Managers (PQM) and project teams in the implementation of the QMS on projects.

Develop, implement and manage the quality of project deliverables through a Project Quality Plan (PQP) meeting the requirements of the HNTB Quality Management System (QMS) and project/client requirements. Achieve client approval of the Project Quality Plan when necessary, and work with project management to incorporate the PQP into an overall Program Management Plan when necessary.  Provide initial and recurring training to project team members on the PQP.  Proactively work with the project team to ensure compliance with the PQP including the oversight of quality check and review activities.  Manage quality of subconsultant work. Develop and manage project quality performance metrics and report to project/office leadership and client when required.  Manage quality audit and corrective/preventive action systems.  When contractually required, review, approve and oversee quality programs of the client or other entities under contract to the client.

NY/NY METROPOLITAN Section receives Bronze PAR award from ASQ


We are pleased to announce that the NY/NJ Metropolitan Section Committee has received the Bronze award recognition for 2018.

The 2018 section Performance Awards & Recognition (PAR) results were recently announced by the ASQ’s Performance Awards & Recognition (PAR) committee. Where the section was recognized for achieving the bronze award recognition. This level was achieved by meeting the good standing requirements as well as meeting or exceeding the Member Value Metric.

Congratulations to everyone who supports the NY/NJ Metropolitan Section ans especially our volunteer committee members for your achievements. We are proud of your service to ASQ and continue to look forward to what is ahead for the section.

Job opening – Master Black belt

Position Description: 
The Master Black Belt (MBB) is responsible to lead the Continuous Improvement Program at Marotta Controls. The individual must have an accredited and/or recognized MBB Certification for Lean Six Sigma. This individual will train a small core of employees as Green Belts/Black Belts to help support the MBB with improvement projects. The MBB will work with various teams to plan and schedule projects to address cost and schedule drivers on programs with the goal of driving Realized Cost and Schedule Savings as part of a formalized Opportunity Management Program. This would include working events throughout the Supply Chain from our Suppliers to our Customers. The MBB must be a self-motivated individual who possesses the ability to analyze, organize, plan and prioritize assignments/tasks to achieve positive results. This position requires effective interaction with a broad spectrum of people to successfully support operations, customer requirements and the corporate strategic vision.
