Reporting to the Head of Quality/Continuous Improvement, the Quality Operations Specialist will work primarily out of the Edison warehouse in a cross-functional role between Quality/Continuous Improvement and Operations. As a liaison between these teams, the QIS will be actively leading and deploying quality and improvement activities in the warehouse. The role will also be working closely with the Customer Support team to resolve field escalations and quality issues directly from customers.

Reliability Engineer, Veeco, Somerset, NJ

Overview: The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for reliability data analyses, reliability prediction models and growth plans, test program plans and execution, and supplier reliability qualification in support of new product development, working closely with product development teams. He or she will also have responsibility for conducting and coordinating failure analysis and root cause determination on reliability issues on deployed products. This engineer will work with cross-functional teams in engineering, manufacturing, technical support and field service as well as our supplier base. This is a corporate-wide position in which the engineer will work on multiple product lines across several different business units. The position is based in Somerset, NJ, but will require support of other US locations through web meetings and some travel. The successful candidate will have experience in reliability engineering for product development using standard analytical tools and systematic approaches, be able to clearly communicate with and provide guidance to product development personnel who do not have reliability expertise and have a passion for improving product reliability.

Delivering your brand clearly and consistently is just as important, but first you need to understand what a brand is and isn’t. Alex explores “branding” and the art of creating a distinct brand for yourself. He will share which variables are most often used by Human Resources determining whether to call you in for an interview or not.
