In this session, Alex Freund, The Landing Expert, shares how to create a strong, compelling brand that will have companies wanting you for the position.

Looking at the job search process, hiring managers and human resource officials determine evaluate you quickly and based on few inputs. The good news is you have the opportunity to stand out.
Delivering your brand clearly and consistently is just as important, but first you need to understand what a brand is and isn’t. Alex explores “branding” and the art of creating a distinct brand for yourself. He will share which variables are most often used by Human Resources determining whether to call you in for an interview or not.
So whether you want to learn how create your own brand, become known in a new career field, or attract interviews, it may boil down to the quality of your brand.

This event is a General Section Meeting where attendees are invited to bring a spouse or significant other. The February 2018 Section Meeting and Singapore Culture Presentation will be preceded by an optional tour of Grand Central Terminal. A Tour Guide will lead a 75 minute tour of historic Grand Central Terminal, currently the home of Metro-North Railroad and soon to be a second Manhattan destination for the Long Island Railroad in addition to its current Penn Station destination. Tour Guide will lead the tour group through the Terminal describing its grand history and current operations. Following the tour, the group will walk to nearby Annie Moore’s Bar and Restaurant for the Section Meeting, including dinner and a very informative presentation on Singapore Culture and Quality.

Over the last few years, there has been a significant shift throughout our health care system to move to a delivery and payment model known as value-based care (in replacement for Fee for service model). The value based is a solution to address rise in healthcare cost and focus on quality. This transition is very challenging, and the need for process improvements initiative is very imperative during the transitional period.
Presenter: Toyin Adegbonmire, MS, Blackbelt, is a Provider Reimbursement Manager at Healthfirst. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration from University of Maryland Baltimore County and Master’s in Technology Management with a concentration in Project Management degree from University of Maryland University College. She has been working in the healthcare industry for 10+ years with diverse experience in Health IT, Revenue recovery, Managed care organization and Skilled Nursing. Toyin is currently leading an improvement initiative to improve the claims auto adjudication process at Healthfirst.
